Getting Started

Choosing a clinician can be challenging.

The goal at each step is to help you determine whether this is the right fit—or to support you in finding an option that better meets your needs. There are several ways to begin, depending on what you’re looking for and how certain you are about next steps. The options below are designed to help you determine whether working together is a good fit, without unnecessary time or expense.

  • This is a short, non-clinical phone call focused on logistics and fit. We can clarify scheduling, fees, telehealth appropriateness, and whether your concerns fall within my scope of practice. These calls are self-scheduled through the client portal and reflect real-time availability, including daytime, evening, and limited weekend options.

The purpose of this call is to help you decide whether to move forward with one of the options below—or whether another referral may be more appropriate. To schedule a brief consultation now, please click here.

  • This is a longer, exploratory appointment intended to give you a meaningful sample of the telehealth experience. We’ll spend time discussing the presenting concerns, possible treatment approaches, and overall fit.

This option is available for individuals or partners in a relationship and is especially well-suited for those who are new to therapy or new to telehealth.

While this is not a diagnostic or treatment session, it is conducted with the same standards of confidentiality and informed consent. Paperwork is streamlined and kept to a minimum. Fees for this appointment typically range from $100–$125.

Appointments are requested through the client portal and finalized after brief review. To request an appointment now, please click here.

  • The initial intake is a formal diagnostic interview for individuals, couples, or partners. This appointment establishes you as a patient and includes preliminary diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

Intake appointments can be requested through the client portal. Appointment times are confirmed after review, and completion of registration and informed consent paperwork is required prior to the visit.
